Arranca programa Canje de Armas, Secretaría de Seguridad, SEDENA y municipios participan

  • Se aplicará en 50 municipios de la entidad.

Chalco, Estado de México.- Con el objetivo de disminuir actos violentos dentro del núcleo familiar y comunitario, la Secretaría de Seguridad (SS), en coordinación con la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Sedena) y autoridades municipales, inició este lunes el Programa Canje de Armas 2018.

En la explanada municipal de Chalco y en representación de la titular de la Secretaría de Seguridad, Maribel Cervantes Guerrero, el subsecretario de la Policía Estatal, Sergio Hernando Chávez García, destacó que es prioridad del Gobierno del Estado, como uno de los principales ejes de acción del Gobernador Alfredo del Mazo Maza, erradicar las conductas antisociales y los riesgos que pueden provocar las armas de fuego en el seno familiar.

“Necesitamos unir esfuerzos con el eslabón de la prevención para tener un entorno seguro sociedad y autoridades debemos estar unidos, la seguridad de todos los mexiquenses es un interés focal de la Secretaría de Seguridad, seguiremos combinando esfuerzos para dar a la población servicios de atención pero al mismo tiempo los invito a que convivamos en armonía y tengamos la observancia de prácticas seguras”

De manera simultánea en los municipios de Chalco, Zumpango, Atizapán de Zaragoza y Atlacomulco se inauguró el programa, con el propósito de desarmar a las familias mexiquenses, promoviendo así la cultura de la paz.

En todos los casos, los módulos se instalarán en el exterior de las Presidencias de los 50 municipios, con un horario de lunes a viernes, de 09:00 a 16:00 horas, y los sábados de 10:00 a 14:00 horas.

La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) señala que el 80 por ciento de las personas que pierden la vida por un disparos de arma de fuego son niños y mujeres  que no están involucrados en un conflicto bélico, sino por accidentes al accionar uno de estos artefactos, por ello es vital impulsar la participación ciudadana.

Durante el acto protocolario de Chalco participaron Jaqueline García Vázquez, Presidenta del Consejo Ciudadano de Seguridad Pública del Estado de México; Juvenal Cortés González, Coronel de Infantería Diplomado Estado Mayor 107 Batallón de la 37/A Zona Militar; Juan Manuel Carbajal Hernández, Presidente Municipal de Chalco, y Francisco Manuel Espinosa Barrientos, Contralor Interno de la Secretaría de Seguridad.

Al tiempo de este evento la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, arrancó su programa Juguemos sin Violencia que tiene la intención de intercambiar juguetes bélicos por juguetes recreativos.
